Concave is a mobile app and widget that lets you share pictures with your friends. It is easiest way to stay in constant touch with your closest friends and family.. Especially because Concave is designed to share intimate moments with your closest friends, we care deeply about keeping your data private and secure.
Below, we outline what data we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights.
Data Collection And Use
Account Data
When you sign up for an account on Concave, you are asked to enter your phone number and name. This data is used to identify you to other Concave users and makes it easy for your friends to find your account on the service. We may also collect your phone number which may also be used to respond to your messages.
Contacts Data
After signing up, you have the option to give Concave access to your address book. This makes it easy to add your friends on Concave.We never send text messages to your friends without your explicit permission.
When you add a friend on Concave, we first look up their phone number in our records to see if they already have an account. If they don't, we link their phone number and only their phone number (no name, no profile picture, nothing else) with your account. Linking your friends’ number to your account means that once your friend downloads Concave, they can immediately accept your friend request after signing up. We do not save the phone numbers of any contacts you don't explicitly add as a friend.
You can invite friends to join Concave by sending them a text message with a link to install the app. We do not automatically message your friends on your behalf. Instead, you have to send the message yourself. This means you're always in control of what messages get sent to your friends.
Once you add a friend, Concave looks up the name and profile picture you have saved for that person in your Contacts. This information is then used to identify your friend throughout the app.
Photos
We collect the photos you send on Concave together with the associated metadata such as the time the photo was taken. We do not collect any location metadata from your photos.
Sending photos to your friends is incredibly personal, so we work hard to keep this data private and secure. When you send a new photo on Concave, it will be sent to all friends you have added on the app. They will be able to see this photo in real-time in their feed.. In addition to helping you share your photos with friends, we may also use your photos for special features like anniversary video collages.
Photos you've sent in the past are not visible to new people you add as friends. For example, if you sent a photo to a friend on Concave an hour ago and add a new friend later, your new friend won't be able to see that photo you sent before adding him on Concave. They will only see new photos you've sent since being friends with them.
Device and App Activity Data
When you use the app, we automatically collect certain information about how you interact with the app (such as the actions you take and how long you use the app). We use this information to improve the app, create new features, and keep our systems secure.
How We Share Data
We do not sell, rent, license, or lease your data to third parties. However, we may share it with the following third parties:
Service Providers – such as hosting services, customer support services, and analytics services.
Professional Advisors – such as lawyers and accountants.
Business Transaction Recipients – including counterparties and others assisting with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, dissolution, asset sale, or similar transaction involving our business.
Legal and Safety – government authorities or regulators or other third parties where required by law or legal process or to protect Concave’s, users’, or other third parties’ rights and safety.
How You Share Data
You can use Concave to share photos with your friends. Once you've sent a photo, it isn't possible to delete it from other user's phones, so be careful with what photos you choose to send. Think of sending a Concave like sending a text message — once it has been delivered, you cannot take it back.
Data Retention
We keep your data until we don’t need it for the purposes described in this policy and we have no legal obligation to keep it.
Your Rights
We provide all users with the following rights:
Deactivate – you can request to deactivate your account so that you will not be able to send or receive new photos;

Correct – you can ask that we fix any errors or inaccuracies in the data we hold about you;
Stop processing – you can tell us to stop processing your data;
Object – you can object to how we process your data; and

You can exercise these rights by emailing concaveappinc@gmail.com and including the phone number linked to your account in your message. We will not treat you differently if you exercise any of these rights, but we may need additional information to verify your identity. An agent can also make these requests on your behalf, but we may still ask you to verify your identity and that you have authorized the agent to act on your behalf.
Children
Concave is not intended for children and we do not believe we have collected any data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from children without proper consent, we will delete that data.

We may need to update this policy to account for changes in our business and applicable laws. If we change this policy, we will post the new version here. If the changes are significant we will notify you through the app.
